The reason I waited until so late to post this is because I
really wanted to complete my one week testing period for this product.
Everyday, I wake up, do my skincare routine, apply my makeup
and keep it on all day…. Until late at night, when I take it off. I usually
first take it off with a wipe, followed by a facial wash, a cleanser and toner
combo and finally some eye and face cream.
The thing that I have changed about this routine is the
brand of wipes. I’ve been using Johnson’s 3 in 1 cleansing facial wipes. I
never really liked these wipes, but honestly, I would just buy them because
they were the ones that were available everywhere. My mother taught me to use
these ever since I learned to put on makeup, and I’ve been hesitantly loyal ever
since.
The reason I don’t like these wipes is because they sting my
sensitive eyes, they sting my face (especially when I have active acne) and
they feel oily. They also smell very chemical-y, if you know what I mean.
When I went to the store a week ago, I decided I would try a
new brand. I ended up picking up the Garnier 3 in 1 Cleansing facial wipes. I
find myself picking up a lot of Garnier products lately; the quality of their
products has become significantly better lately. This product did not
disappoint!
From the very first day that I tried it I felt a significant
difference in the way my face felt. These wipes are extremely gentle on the
eyes and face. The Johnson’s ones claim to be gently to use around sensitive eyes,
but they really aren’t. Although the Garnier wipes do not make any such claim
on the packaging, I find that they are quite gentle, and extremely effective. They
smell really nice too! A lot like their conditioner, if you know what that
smells like.
After wiping my face, I don’t feel the need to wash my face
as it doesn’t feel oily like the Johnson’s wipes used to do. The Garnier ones
leave my face moisturized and feeling great without that feeling of oiliness. I
do go ahead and wash my face though because if I don’t follow my daily skin
care routine it will break out a lot more.
I followed this up with a facial wash, some toner and a cream
for my eyes and face. My face feels great!
